Welcome to Fish 2 Water based in Eastbourne, East Sussex

Fish 2 Water is run by me, Dee! I want everyone to LOVE open water sea swimming as much as I do, to have fun and be able to swim safely. I have developed a range of courses and coaching services to build knowledge, confidence, strength and technique in the water.

You can now book private sessions, coaching courses and one-off events with Fish 2 Water online!

Private Coaching

I offer private sessions to focus on whatever you need. These sessions can be for adult or juniors, on your own as a 1-2-1 or shared with a group of friends.

We can video your swimming technique to give visual feedback which can be fundamental in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of your stroke.

Junior Water Confidence

Water confidence sessions are open to children age 6+.

In these sessions children will learn about safety in, on and around the water, feeling relaxed in the water and beginner swimming skills. They will learn through fun games and activities.

Group Sessions

Are you happy swimming in a pool but fancy a bit of the great outdoors? or, love the sea but would like to be able to swim better?

There are many skills to learn in open water, whether you are swimming for fitness or to improve efficiency and speed.

Group sessions are available for ages 6+.

How can swimming in the open water help both your physical and mental wellbeing?

Getting outdoors and into the fresh air is frequently recommended for our health and there is now ooooodles of research and evidence that shows cold water/open water swimming, dipping or both…the SWIMBLE does wonders for our state of mind.

Fancy seeing how it can help you? please get in touch.

It’s a big part of my job to know a lot about the water; tides, safety, environmental issues, the health benefits of swimming and more. Have a read! I hope you’ll find them informative and motivational.

If you’d like to be a guest blogger, please let me know, I’d love to share the knowledge and thoughts of others.

How Does an English Channel Relay Swim Work?

How does an English Channel Relay Swim Work? England to France. The shortest distance between England and France is 21 Miles (32 km) in a straight line but the path the swimmers swim is more of a S shape and that is to do with the tides/currents pushing along the channel. Swims start from either Shakespeare Beach or Samphire Hoe in Dover and hope to finish on the beach at Cap Gris Nez in France.

“Dee provides a wonderful opportunity to learn to swim properly in a friendly, fun and safe environment, whether that be in a pool or more recently in the sea”

“H absolutely loves swimming with Dee.  It is very well organised and his swimming is coming along really well!  As an extra bonus I was very impressed with was the current Covid safety measures that were in place.  Having had experience with other swim schools in the past at this level, I would highly recommend F2W to others”
